Breakfast Lunch & Dinner (BL&D) is a community venture-building studio. BL&D manages and is a part of several community projects and ventures, including Cafeteria Media. Cafeteria Media is an emerging digital media and entertainment company owned and operated by creative entrepreneurs in the Greater Hartford Region. 

Position focus

While managing and developing sponsorships and fundraising at BL&D, you will play a pivotal role in securing financial support and partnerships to advance our mission of creating collective culture in the Connecticut River Valley. Your primary responsibilities will involve identifying and cultivating revenue opportunities through sponsorships, fundraising initiatives such as grants, and the corresponding relationship management. This position will creatively leverage the event, media, and other business assets of BL&D to drive revenue and source and create value with existing and future clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for Revenue Opportunities:

    • Consistently research and identify new revenue opportunities based on client and category insights

    • Develop a deep understanding of potential sponsors and partners to tailor proposals effectively

  • Client Engagement and Growth:

    • Engage current customers to explore the full range of BL&D offerings

    • Grow sponsorship opportunities for existing clients

  • Custom Solutions-Driven Campaigns:

    • Create custom campaigns that align with client objectives and meet their needs across various media and event platforms

    • Develop innovative sponsorship packages that provide unique value to sponsors

  • Relationship Building:

    • Foster strong, long-term relationships with key clients

    • Actively participate in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape to provide strategic sponsorship recommendations

  • Internal Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with internal team members, providing clear and concise direction for the successful execution of campaigns

    • Coordinate with event and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of sponsorship commitments

  • Independent Decision-Making:

    • Make independent decisions and problem-solve to meet customer needs and ensure successful sponsorship execution.

  • Customer Service and Contract Fulfillment:

    • Provide exceptional customer service to sponsors, ensuring contract fulfillment and a positive experience

    • Oversee the execution of sponsorship agreements, ensuring all deliverables are met

  • Professional Representation:

    • Represent BL&D in a positive and professional manner at all times, maintaining the brand's reputation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales, fundraising, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of client and category insights

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to create customized, solutions-driven campaigns

  • Relationship-building expertise with clients and internal teams

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities

  • Customer-centric approach and dedication to fulfilling sponsorship agreements

Compensation 

  • $45,000-$55,000 + Uncapped Commissions

  • Medical and Dental benefits

  • 2-weeks PTO (Plus additional post-event rest days)
