Reporting to a Partner of Breakfast Lunch & Dinner, this position will play a central role in advancing Breakfast Lunch & Dinner's mission of creating collective culture in the Connecticut River Valley, with a specific focus on market-based events.

Market Events Coordinator

This role is requesting you to provide key support to our market-based events portfolio. The work will include taking on events leadership to actualize projects, fostering vendor and client relationships, event set up and breakdown, event programming and coordination, collaborating with the Breakfast Lunch & Dinner team including executing social media strategies, developing and deploying marketing material and campaigns, managing and maintaining social media calendars, writing press releases, creating team schedules, and being a team player on a small but ambitious team.


Responsibilities

  • Market-Based Event Leadership: Take a leadership role in planning, organizing, and executing market-based events such as KNOW GOOD Market, Winterfair, Farmers’ Markets, and other pop-up and market-based event work

  • Vendor and Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to ensure the success of market-based events

  • Event Setup and Breakdown: Oversee the setup and breakdown of market-based events, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently

  • Event Programming and Coordination: Work on the development and execution of event programs, including scheduling, entertainment, and logistics

  • Collaboration and Social Media: Collaborate with the Breakfast Lunch & Dinner team to execute social media strategies that promote market-based events and engage the community

  • Marketing Material and Campaigns: Develop and deploy marketing materials and campaigns to attract attendees and participants to market-based events

  • Social Media Calendar Management: Manage and maintain social media calendars to ensure consistent and effective communication leading up to and during events

  • Press Releases: Write compelling press releases to generate media coverage and buzz around market-based events

  • Team Scheduling: Create and manage team schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage for events

  • Creative Freedom: This position allows passionate individuals the creative freedom to leverage Breakfast Lunch & Dinner assets to realize a project of their own vision in line with Breakfast Lunch & Dinner's mission

  • Location: The role will take place both on-site at our office and off-site or on-location at market-based events

Qualifications

  • Creative, organized self-starter

  • Proven ability to execute simultaneous multi-stakeholder projects

  • Experience in event planning and coordination

  • Familiarity with market-based events and the local community

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to thrive in a creative, startup environment

Compensation

$40-48,000 + incentives (vendor fees and vendor success, event success)

Medical and dental 

2-weeks PTO (Plus additional post-event rest days)
