Breakfast Lunch & Dinner (BL&D) is a community venture-building studio. BL&D manages and is a part of several community projects and ventures, including Cafeteria Media. Cafeteria Media is an emerging digital media and entertainment company owned and operated by creative entrepreneurs in the Greater Hartford Region. 

Position focus

BL&D is seeking someone who can nurture and help us succeed in our event work. This role is designed for short term to provide additional needed support for our live events during the holiday season including but not limited to Winterfari: Hartford’s Holiday Market and First Night Hartford. This candidate will work with our internal team to identify, establish, and pursue specific goals related to event success.

Responsibilities

  • Support in coordination of event including working with vendors, entertainers, programming support and other partners

  • Provide great customer service to vendors, event visitors, and our partners

  • Help to set up and break down events, including lifting up to 50lbs 

  • Develop and maintain back-off-house processes for product inventory including new product delivery and outbound sales

  • Providing customers with detailed product information and recommendations

  • Collaboratively produce marketing content

  • Processing transactions for sales to the public and to vendors

  • Maintaining a clean and organized event environment

  • Conduct stock management and inventory upkeep

  • Arranging merchandise on shelves and displays

  • Available to work on weekends and holidays

Qualifications

  • Previous retail experience including navigating POS

  • Great organizational skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Comfortable with G-suite

Pay

Compensation is $17.50-$20/hour based on qualifications. Weekly hourly commitment is 8 hours.
